I'm Lisa, a certified sleep consultant based in Harpenden offering both face to face and virtual consultations for families looking for calm, confident sleep support.
My journey into sleep therapy was inspired by my own daughter who is now 14. She struggled with sleep from an early age and did not sleep well until she was nearly two years old. She needed constant one to one support to fall asleep and stay asleep. Bedtime often felt like an exhausting, stressful time for the whole family. Night time was a time of anxiety for all of us, not the peaceful, restful time we all needed.Everything changed when we worked with a sleep therapist who gave us the right guidance and support. Gradually our daughter began to enjoy bedtime and nap times. She became happier during the day and gained confidence in all aspects of her life, largely helped by getting the quality sleep she needed.
Years later new sleep challenges arose and with the right gentle techniques and support she was able to overcome these challenges relatively quickly. With many years working with babies and prior to that within mental health support, I am extremely mindful of the impact sleep difficulties can have on the mental health of the entire family.I undertook in-depth professional training to become a sleep practitioner myself.
I am passionate about helping families overcome sleep challenges. With tailored solutions and personalized guidance, I work closely with parents to create positive sleep environments for their children. I will provide a thorough assessment of your child's current sleep patterns and work closely with you to achieve healthy sleep.
